Middle School is a time of transition where kids begin to approach a crossroads. At a very young age, many are faced with the options of drugs, sex, materialism, and other enticements of the world. The mission of the After-School program is to first and foremost equip students with the knowledge of Christ and His character through bible study so that all students enrolled have the opportunity to hear the Gospel and choose LIFE through Him! (Jn 10:10, Duet. 30:19). The program is also designed to teach the students to strive for excellence in academics. Each day includes a study hall time in which students are provided with assistance as needed to complete their homework and/or participate in remedial activities. Because the program runs through dinner time, a meal is provided each evening to ensure that no one goes home hungry. Counseling is also provided through our staff/volunteers on an as needed basis to provide the 1:1 support needed in difficult circumstances. By addressing the "whole" child spiritually, mentally, emotionally, and physically, the program strives to provide the structure to "do life" with the kids and create a safe and predictable environment to support their spiritual growth.
