With Thanksgiving just days in the review mirror the after taste of food, fun, and family keep a smile on my face. Acts 2 certainly has so much to be thankful for; new staff, new students, new relationships, and new challenges. As the blessings continue to roll in we sometimes joke about finding the room to store them all. Without trying to over spiritualize the idea of storing up blessing, we want to be intentional on exactly how we can share the blessings that God lavishly pours down on us.
read more »As I have gotten older I look back over my life more and more and think, “Wow, what was I thinking when I did that?” I sometimes shudder at the thought of making one mistake or another? Then, I remember; my God is so much bigger than any mess I have made, I make or will make. Isn't that beautiful?
read more »First I ask for prayer as I begin to raise my support it's like nothing I have ever had to do, but I know that God will provide. Being here at Acts 2 for a couple of weeks now as a staff member, I have seen and experienced many things. Coming into this I didn't think that these kids would like me or receive me right away. I actually counted on them not to just because I knew that they all come from different backgrounds causing them to be closed off, also because they didn't know me at all, But God has definitely been working through all of us at Acts 2 including me, which is so awesome.
read more »God has really been helping me realize that I need to build my relationship with Him more and more each day so that I can be the best for Him. I understand why God has me here and I plan to do what He has called me to do. It's now the Christmas season so many people look at this as a time for family and friends to get together and share gifts.
read more »I want to start off by asking for a lot of prayer because it's getting rough for me personally. God has placed me here for a reason and being here at Acts 2 Ministry is more of a challenge than I thought it would be, I honestly didn't think support raising would be this hard. Fortunately, God has shown me how to have patience and learn from the things that happens to me. I really enjoy working with the middle schoolers, but it's really frustrating when I can't afford to pay for certain things.
