Those Me Too Moments- Amy Leggett

Last night at club we did something different. Instead of our normal routine, we changed the setup of the room to be two sides of chairs facing each other. Philip spoke from the center of the circle instead of from the stage and we got real. He read a series of statements and asked students to stand if the statement applied to them. There were statements like “Have you ever had to be the primary care giver for your younger siblings?” and “Have you ever drank or been drunk?” It was a time of raw honesty and vulnerability for us on staff as well as for our students.

The Greatest Fighter I Know- Rachel Crawford

In naming the greatest fighters of all time you can't help but think of Muhammad Ali who ended his career with 56 wins and 5 losses and Sugar Ray Robinson who with an astounding 179 wins and 19 losses. When we seek the Bible we see David as our “model” fighter. He was a poet, musician and skilled warrior. Look at Samson, his past was definitely a conversation piece but killed a lion with his bare hands, fought and killed 30 men on his own. Here at Acts 2 we have a fighter amongst us.

A Crazy Month- Lamoryae Mayo

This month there has been a lot of ups and downs. Most of the time when life gets tough I can handle it; with God of course. This time it has been very different I have been going through many things and many problems. I went through things as simple as getting angry to more complex things such as getting in a car accident. God is sovereign through it all and that’s what keeps me motivated!
