God has sent me two girls that I am blessed to disciple and just spend time with. We live life together. One of the girls I have known for years, the other, I have just known a few months. Both girls love Jesus. They are living it out! Is this an easy thing to do in the world we live in? No. Do they have excuses they could hide behind and continue to live for the world?

New Beginnings, a Fresh Start- Lamoryae Mayo

This month has been the greatest learning experience for me and my walk with Christ. He is showing me many new things in his word and through his people, giving me much knowledge. God has revealed the purpose for which He has me here and is still revealing as I go from day to day. This month He has placed a lot on my plate, but knowing God I know that He wouldn’t give me something He knew I couldn’t handle. With all of that said I would like to express to you some of the things He has laid on me this month.

Being Persistent: Amy Leggett

Recently I have been reading through the New Testament and the story of the persistent widow stuck out to me. It comes from Luke 18 and the thing that stuck out to me most was the very end of the story. In the Message version it says, "So what makes you think that God won't step in and work justice for His chosen people, who continue to cry out for help? Won't He stick up for them? I assure you that He will. He will not drag His feet. But how much of that kind of persistent faith will the son of man find on the earth when He returns?"

Walk With Me: Amy Leggett

Since I have been here, one girl in particular has stuck out to me. I have tried to intentionally spend time with her and her family and what I have seen is amazing. When we first started going to eat lunch at her school, she ignored us but everyday inched closer and closer to our table. Next thing I knew, she was signing up for our afterschool program. We had the privilege of taking her to church with us. I sat next to her and I could tell that something was churning up inside of her the whole time that the pastor spoke about Paul and how he had to put his past behind him.
